Pt Reyes Sunset

The distant point in the upper left of this picture is where the Pt. Reyes Lighthouse resides. The shot is taken from the LImantour Beach area. The experience of getting this shot stands out for me. On the way to Limantour, I stopped on the road to watch two very large hawks rough-house and chatter at each other, one diving repeatedly at the other that was perched in a treetop. After the sunset shot when I was on the return trail back to the parking lot, I was halted by the hoots of an owl hiding nearby in the thick tree cover. Another good day at Pt. Reyes.
