Foxen Canyon Day Trip

The very, very back roads of northern Santa Barbara county proved ideal for social distancing. The dead-end White Rock Canyon had peaceful vineyards and red-tail hawks. The small San Ramon Chapel (1875, no less) was stunning in its simplicity and the site of a haunting statute honoring the saint.

I am always amazed how green vineyards flourish in the arid lands.

Beekeepers stay busy in this agricultural zone.
