I spotted two pair of red-necked pharalopes swimming close to the shore as I took a late afternoon walk. This June 2017 trip added to my birding life list. From a photography perspective, the circumstance makes me want to improve on focus and overall clarity. This picture was taken with a 300mm Nikon lens. Truism: You can always buy a better lens.
