Suey Creek Road - Wildflower Hunt

CA high-desert wildflowers this year are less formidable than last, but still pockets exist which made the weekend hunt worthwhile. The 'hot-spot' locations can change year-over-year too. Last year, Cottonwood Creek Road near Cuyama on CA 166 was tremendous. This year, Suey Creek Road off of CA 166 is closer to the coast and its roadside attractions were more plentiful. I may have been a week or two late for the blooms deeper into the Cuyama Valley as much warmer weather hit about a week ago.
