New Discovery Near Guadalupe, CA

On an overcast day, I drove south on CA 1 through Guadalupe to explore roads that headed west towards the coast. Point Sal had a parking lot that was busy. That moderate-tough hike is now on the bucket list.

The next road south was the Lompoc Casmalia highway which skirts the Vandenburg Air Force base. Casmalia's Hitching Post boasts the world's best BBQ steaks, an invitation to return. The Sunday afternoon ride for the Casmalia Cowboys looked fun.
