Sierra - March View
The timing worked out for a quick 2-day trip to the Eastern Sierras. Always good to run US 395 on a sunny day.
Morning sun on Lake Daiz.

On the way, I go through Tehacapi which is 40 miles east of Bakersfield. It is a railroad town first and foremost. Notable: Tehachapi Loop, a single-track rail route with a steep gradient constructed in 1876 in Sierra mountain foothills.

The very cool town of Lone Pine, CA hosts The Museum of Film History which has a fantastic mural. I have yet to walk through the museum but invariably stop day or night for some outdoors shots.
